Failed 3D Printing Experiments

If you’ve gone through a few failed prints, know this: you’re on the right path.

Let me tell you—if one day you come back and find that the printer didn’t print anything at all, and instead made something that looks like a tangled mess (like Ramadan kunafa), that usually means your bed leveling isn’t set correctly. It could also be your Z-offset. If this happens, don’t forget to check both next time.

Another situation: you walk in and find the hotend—especially the nozzle—stuck to the part, lifted off the bed, and swinging it around. One of the main reasons for this is that the bed temperature isn’t right and is too low. Sound familiar?

And of course, we all forget sometimes and end up printing with the wrong material profile. The result? A clogged printer or a deformed part.

Ever tried printing while the cooling fans were accidentally turned off? A disaster. If you’ve done it, tell us—what happened?
